1. Course: Master in Public Safety Administration (MPSA)

Description:
Composed of Academic and Non-Academic Phases.
-Academic Phase: Categorized in 3 Major Subjects each consisting different modules namely; Public Safety Foundation Subjects, Perspective of Public Safety and Social Defense, and Public Safety Administration
-Non-Academic Phase: Field/Observation trips to Public Safety Offices/agencies

Objective:
Designed to develop professional leadership and active participation in ensuring public safety provide opportunity for scientific inquiry and specialization in protective service (police) and safety services (fire,jail, etc.)

Duration:
1 year (52 weeks)

Admission Requirements:
  • At least police, fire, jail Superintendent
  • OSEC graduate or its equivalent for AFP
  • For civilian, atleast Director level (Salary Grade 18-up)
  • Recommendation from Office/Unit Head
  • No pending administrative and criminal case from IG/IAS
  • Medical, drug, nuero-psychiatric certificates from the PNP HS, Crime Lab and PNP accredited Testing centers


    • 2. Course: Bachelor of Science in Public Safety (BSPS) Cadetship

    Description:
    Composed of academic and non-academic phases.
    -Academic Phase: Composed of subjects and activities relating to a particular discipline or branch of knowledge that involves cognitive learning, such as: Branches of Law, Language, Forensic Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Public Safety Services
    • 1st to 2nd Year-Subjects are anchored on the basic public safety knowledge, skills, competence and qualities of officership.
    • 3rd Year-Focused on the specialization/integration subjects depending on the service the cadets would opt to join after graduation
    • 4th Year-Thesis writing and integrated review of public safety subjects.
    -Non-Academic Phase: Aptitude, Conduct Tactics, Physical Fitness Test

    Objective:
    Designed to develop uniformed personnel proficient in the delivery of the effective public safety services with the highest degree of professionalism and respect for human dignity particularly in the fields of police, fire and jail administration and operation.

    Duration:
    4 years (208 weeks)

    Admission Requirements:
  • Passed the Cadetship Qualifying Examination by the PNPA
  • A natural born Filipino citizen
  • Single with no legal obligation to support a child or children
  • 17-22 years old at the time of admission
  • Physically and mentally fit for the cadetship training
  • At least 5'4 (162.5 cm) in height for male and 5'2 (157.5 cm) for female
  • Weight not more than nor less than 5 kilograms of the standards weight measurement corresponding to height, age and sex

    1. Course: Public Safety Officers Senior Executive Course (PSOSEC)

    Description:
    Composed of Academic and Non-Academic Phases.
    -Academic Phase: Composed of 7 modules namely; Public Safety: Its context and dimension, Public Safety Administration, Laws and Jurisprudence for Public Safety Law Enforcers, Public Safety Operations, Research and research Methodology, Enhancement and Application and Career Transition Management
    -Non-Academic Phase: Drills and Ceremonies, Physical Fitness Test, Defensive Tactics, Moral and Spiritual Enrichment, Educational Tour, Reveille and Sports Activities

    Objective:
    Designed to develop the participant's competence level and character to prepare him to assume command and staff positions in a provincial, regional and national level

    Duration:
    8 months (36 weeks)

    Admission Requirements:
  • Atleast Superintendent in rank in permanent position
  • Atleast 3 years Time-in-Grade (TIG)
  • Graduate of PSOAC or its equivalent
  • PNP Personal Data Sheet
  • True copies of certificate of required pre requisite training

    • 2. Course: Public Safety Officers Advance Course (PSOAC)

    Description:
    Composed of Academic and Non-Academic Phases.
    -Academic Phase: Composed of 5 modules namely; Public Safety: Its context and dimension, Public Safety Administration, Laws and Jurisprudence for Public Safety Public Safety Operations, and Police Office Practical Exercise (POPX)
    -Non-Academic Phase: Firearms Proficiency; Defense tactics; Values Enhancement Program, Physical Fitness Test (PFT); Reveille/Sports Development, Drills and Ceremonies and Educational Tour

    Objective:
    Aims to develop the student's ability to assume as chiefs of Police of higher city police station or as staff officers in a district, provincial or regional level to include parallel designations in the National Support Units (NSUs) with the corresponding duties and responsibilities

    Duration:
    3-4 months (14 weeks)

    -Non-Academic Phase: Firearms Proficiency; Defense tactics; Values Education, Physical Fitness Test (PFT); Reveille/Sports Development, Drills and Ceremonies and Educational Tour

    Objective:
    Aims to develop the student's competence and character to prepare them assume staff positions in major city police stations/offices and chiefs of lower level police stations or as block/community police commanders to include parallel/designations in the National Support Units (NSUs) with the corresponding duties and responsibilities

    Duration:
    3-4 months (14 weeks)

    Description:
    This course is designed for police officers with highly technical qualifications like lawyers, physician, nurses, pilots, priests and the like. Composed of Academic and Non-Academic Phases
    -Academic Phase : Composed of 7 modules namely; General Subjects, Communication Management and Leadership, Police Operations, Law and Jurisprudence, Human Rights (CHR Team Teaching Approach) and Police Tactics/Basic Combat Training (ISO)
    -Non Academic Phase: Field Training Exercise (FTX), Firearms Proficiency, Defense Tactics, Drills and Ceremonies, Physical Fitness Test, FTP

    Objective:
    Designed to equip the lateral entrants who are new officers of the PNP with the fundamental cognitive knowledge, policing skills, and proper attitudes of an officer, and to orient them with their corresponding duties and responsibilities

    Duration:
    1 year

    Admission Requirements:
  • True Copies of Appointment Papers, Oath of Office training Order, Non-Pending Case, Certificate from IG/IAS, PNP NHQ, Medical and Neuro-Psychiatric clearance duly attested by the PNP Medical Service
  • Must have passed the physical examination that will be conducted by the RTS prior to actual training

    Description:

    Admission Requirements:
  • Graduate of Fire Officers Basic Course (FOBC)
  • Fire Commissioned Officer with the rank of Senior Inspector to Chief Inspector

    • 6. Course: Fire Officers Basic Course (FOBC)

    Aims to develop the management and leadership skills of the junior officers of BFP to prepare them in assuming middle level staff positions both in administrative and line operations relative to fire service and administration.

    3 months (12 weeks)

  • Graduate of OCC or BSPS
  • Fire Commissioned Officers with the rank of inspector
  • Certified true copies of Certificate of Completion of pre requisite course, training orders, certificate of non-pending case and medical certificate

    • 7. Course: Jail Officers Advance Course (JOAC)

    Description:
    Composed of Academic and Non-Academic Phases.
    -Academic Phase : Composed of 7 modules namely; General Subjects, Communication, Law and Jurisprudence, Management and Leadership, Research and Doctrine Development, Jail Operations, Public Safety Concerns, and Knowledge and Skills Enhancement
    -Non-Academic Phase : Command Post Exercise (CPX), Firearms Proficiency, Drills and Ceremonies, Unarmed Self-Defense, Sports Activities, Physical Fitness Test, Reveille, Ballroom Dancing, Value Enhancement and Local and Foreign Tour

    Objective:
    Aims to develop the student's competence and character to prepare them to assume wardenship, staff positions in regional offices, or any other designations appropriate for their rank

    Duration:
    3 months (12 weeks)

    Admission Requirements:
  • Graduate of Jail Officers Basic Course
  • At least 3 years time-in-grade (TIG)
  • Certified true copies of required pre requisite course, Training Orders, Certificate of Non-Pending Case and Medical Certificate

    Designed to equip the junior non-commissioned officers of PNP with the fundamental knowledge, skills and proper attitude required for team building assignments.

    3 1/2 months (14 weeks)

  • Graduate of PSSLC or any equivalent course
  • At least SPO4 with at least 3 years time-in-grade

    • 2. Course: Public Safety Jail Officers Candidate Course (PSJOCC)

    Description:
    Composed of academic and non-academic phases.
    -Academic Phase : Composed of 6 modules namely; General Information, Communication, Leadership and Management, Law, Jail Operations, On site Studies (Off Campus) and Integration Workshop
    -Non Academic Phase: Drills and Ceremonies, Sports Development, Physical Fitness, Ballroom Dancing, Unarmed Defense, Marksmanship, First Aid and Emergency cases, Interest Building (Medical Mission Club etc.) Educational Tour and Navigation, Conduct and Aptitude

    Objective:
    Designed to equip the senior non-commissioned officers of the BJMP the knowledge, skills and proper attitudes preparatory to performing the duties and responsibilities of a member of the organization with an officer rank.

    Duration:
    4 months (16 weeks)

    Admission Requirements:
  • Must have completed the Jail Junior Supervisory Course (JJSC)
  • At least Senior Jail Officer 3 (SJO3)
  • At least 1 year time-in-grade
  • Certified true copies of Order of Training from BJMP Central Office,
  • Medical Certificate issued by the BJMP Medical Officer
  • Certificate of Non-Pending Case, Pre-requisite Training, Service Record and Transcript of Records with SO

    Composed of academic and non-academic phases.
    -Academic Phase: Composed of 5 modules namely; General Information, Communication, Law, Leadership and Supervision Concepts, Administrative Functions and Fire Operations.
    -Non-Academic Phase: Drills and Ceremonies, Physical Fitness, Defensive Driving, Moral and Spiritual Enrichment, Educational Tour, Reveille and Sports Activities

    Objective:
    Designed to develop the leadership qualities qualities and skills of the participants to prepare them in assuming supervisory function both in administrative and line operations relative to fire service administration.

    Duration:
    2 months (8 weeks)

  • Graduate of Fire Arson Investigation and Inspection Course (FAIIC)
  • Fire non-commissioned officer with the rank of FO3 to SFO$
  • True copies of Certificate of Completion of the pre requisite course, training orders, Certificate of non-pending Case

    • 5. Course: Police Junior Leadership Course (JLC)

    Description:
    Composed of academic and academic phases.
    -Academic Phase: Composed of 5 modules namely; General Subject, Communication, Leadership and Supervision, Specialized Subjects on Law and Police Operations and Police Tactics/Basic Combat Training (ISO)
    -Non Academic Phase : Drills and Ceremonies, Defensive Tactics, Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Reveille, Moral and Spiritual Enrichment and Firearms Proficiency/Practical Shooting

  • At least PO3 in permanent status with at least 2 yrs time-in-grade
  • True copies of Certificate of Completion of the pre requisite course, training orders, non-pending case, certificate from IG/IAS, PNP NHQ Legal Officers, Medical Certificate and Neuro Psychiatric clearance duly attested by the PNP Medical Service
  • Pass the physical examination to be conducted by the RTS prior to the actual training


    • 6. Course: Police Basic Recruit Course (PBRC)

    Description:
    Composed of academic and non-academic phases.
    -Academic Phase : Composed of 7 modules namely; Police Orientation Subject, General Subjects, Police Administration, Law, Police Operations, Police Tactical Skills and Internal Security Operations (ISO)
    -Non-Academic Phase : Sports Development, Drills and ceremonies, Defensive Tactics (Pekiti-Tersia or other Aikido-like discipline), Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Inspection in Ranks/Barracks, Moral and Spiritual Upliftment, Basic Weaponry and Proficiency Firing and Handcuffing Techniques

    Objective:
    Designed to equip the PNP recruits with the knowledge, skills, proper attitudes and discipline required in the performance of their duties and responsibilities as public safety officers.

    Duration:
    6 months (24 weeks) + 6 months (24 weeks) Field Training Program (FTP)

    Description:
    Composed of academic and non-academic phases.
    -Academic Phase : Composed of 11 modules namely; General Information, Communication, Arts, Fundamentals of Organization and Management, Law, Fundamentals of Criminal Investigation, General Fire Subjects, Fire Fighting Apparatus, Tools and Equipments, Fire Suppression and Control, Rescue and Emergency Medical Operations, Fire Prevention, On the Job Training and tri-skills Inventory
    -Non-Academic Phase : Defensive Tactics, Drills and Ceremonies, Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Defensive Driving, Moral and Spiritual Enrichment, Reveille, Sports Activities and Physical Conditioning

    Objective:
    Aims to provide the BFP Recruits with the fundamental knowledge and skills in the fire prevention and suppression that could help them towards the effective delivery of their duties and responsibilities as they provide assistance in cases of fire incidents.

    Duration:
    6 months (24 weeks)

    1. Course: Public Safety Traffic Investigation Course (PSTIC)

    Description:
    Composed of academic and non-academic phases.
    -Academic Phase : Composed of 8 modules namely; General Knowledge, Law, Traffic Education, Engineering and Enforcement, Traffic Accident Investigation, Procedures an dOperations, Special Lectures, Practical Exercises, Moot Court and Special Skills.
    -Non-Academic Phase : Drills and Ceremonies, Physical Fitness Test and Sports Development, Defensive Tactics, Moral Recovery Program/Values Education and Educational Tour.

    Objective:
    Designed to provide students with proficiency in traffic investigation and enhance the students in responding to critical and challenging traffic problems in the country and be knowledgeable of the procedures and technical aspects of the traffic rules and regulations.

    Duration:
    4 1/2 months (18 weeks)

    Admission Requirements:
  • At least PO2 and at most P/Sr Inspector
  • Not over 45 yrs. Old
  • Physically and mentally fit for training
  • Posess computer or manual typing skills
  • Passed the entrance written and oral examinations
  • No pending criminal or administrative case

    • 2. Course: Public Safety Investigation and Detection Course (PSIDC)

    Description:
    Composed of academic and non-academic phases.
    -Academic Phase: Composed of 7 modules namely; General Knowledge, Law, Intelligence, Investigation and Detection Operations, Special Skills, Moot Court, Special Lectures and Practical Exercises,
    -Non-Academic Phase: Drills and Ceremonies, Physical Fitness and Sports Development, Defensive Tactics, Moral recovery Program/Values Education and Educational Tour

    Objective:
    Designed to provide students with proficiency in crime investigation and detection crafted to keep the graduates of the course abreast with the most recent techniques in crime solution.

    Duration:
    4 1/2 months (18 weeks)

  • At least PO2 and at most PSINSP or civilian employee with equivalent grade
  • Not over 45 yrs old
  • Physically and mentally fit for training
  • Possess computer or manual typing skills
  • Passed the entrance written and oral examinations
  • No pending criminal or administrative case

    • 3. Course: Public Safety Narcotics Investigation Course (PSNIC)

    Description:
    Composed of academic and non-academic phases.
    -Academic Phase: composed of 8 modules namely; General Knowledge, Laws, Drugs and Precursor Chemicals Identification, Narcotics Operations and Investigation, Special Lectures, Practical Exercises, Moot Court and Special Skills
    -Non-Academic Phase: Drills and Ceremonies, Physical Fitness and Sports Development, defensive Tactics, Moral recovery Program/Values Education and Educational Tour

    Objective:
    Designed to train and develop skilled investigators to respond to the challenging problems that beset society on the drug menace both in the local and international community qualifying them as certified narcotics investigators.

    Duration:
    4 1/2 months (18 weeks)

  • At least PO2 at most PSINSP
  • Not over 45 years old
  • Physically and mentally fit for training
  • Possess computer or manual typing skills
  • Passed the entrance written and oral examinations

    • 4. Course: Public Safety Fire Arson Investigation and Inspection Course (PSFAIIC)

    Description:
    -Academic Phase : Composed of 5 modules namely; Fire Code Subjects, Fire Inspection Procedures, Fire Investigation Procedures and Techniques, Law, and Skills Development, Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Moral and Spiritual Enrichment (Recollection) and Marksmanship

    Objective:
    Designed to provide specialized training to all fire safety inspectors and arson investigators of the fire service on the principles and techniques of safety inspection and arson investigation.

    Duration:
    4 1/2 months (18 weeks)

    Admission Requirements:
  • Graduate of Fire Basic Recruit Course
  • Must have appropriate background of training infire service of college background in engineering or its equivalent
  • Presently assigned as fire and arson investigators or fire inspectors/or earmarked for assignment in the BFP as fire inspector of fire and arson
  • Passed the required physical and medical examinations
