11  How many personnel were trained in 1994 to 2011?

From the time of its inception in 1994 to 2011, the PPSC conducted 5,843 classes with 305,498 participants. Out of these, 4,328 classes were completed with 227,855 graduates. Training Accomplishment 1994-2011

13  How many classes were accomplished from January to October 2012?

A. For the period 01 January to November 2012, a total of 609 classes with 31,028 participants were conducted by PPSC. 14  How many classes were originally programmed (as per training requirements of the PNP, BFP and BJMP) for CY 2011 and CY 2012 respectively?

A. For 2011, a total of 533 classes with 25,990 participants, and for 2012, 550 classes with 26,860 participants were originally programmed based on the training requirements submitted by the PNP, BFP and BJMP.

15  What are the distributions of courses based on the approved budget for FY 2012?

A. For FY 2012, 550 classes with 26,976 participants has been approved.

16  How big is the faculty staff?

For FY 2011, there are 1,736 instructors at PPSC, 1,324 are guests while 412 are in-house.Faculty Distribution Nationwide

17  How much are the lecturers paid?

A. The mechanics on how to come-up with the lecturer's honoraria is based on their academic rank classification as reflected clearly in the Memorandum Circular Number 06-003 dated 05 May 2006 and a new rate increase of honoraria as per Memorandum Circular Number 2010-001, dated May 06, 2010.

18  How is the faculty strengthened?

Through decentralization of the Faculty Rank Classification of In-house and Guest Instructors and Professors of the PPSC System as reflected in the Memorandum Circular No. 06-003 and PPSC Circular No. 99-001 dated 23 August 1999 and the implementation of the following:
  • Instructor Development Course (IDC)
  • Management Training Course (MTC)
  • Field Training Officer's Trainers Training Program (FTOTTP)
  • Seminar-Workshops and symposia
  • Regular in-service trainings
  • Provision for an appropriate honoraria
  • Faculty Performance Monitoring and Evaluation
  • 19  What is the basis for the computation of honoraria?

    The basis is their actual instructional hours rendered multiplied by their academic rank classification honoraria rates. Their rates dovetail their qualification and expertise.

    20  What steps are taken to improve the Officers Senior Executive Course (OSEC)?

  • Continuous revision/updating of the Curriculum and Programs of Instructions.
  • The composition of the faculty was carefully selected from the Corps of Professors and retaining only the services of Professors who are experts in their respective fields.
  • Continuing evaluation of course materials, instrument and monitoring of the actual conduct of classes.
