National Police College
History ![]() The NPC was established pursuant to Section 66 of RA 6975 and fully operationalized on February 14, 1994. It is mandated to provide continuing education and career training needs of the police, fire and jail officers. The NPC conducts mandatory Officers Training Courses designed to develop quality and excellence in management and leadership of the overall enhancement of public safety and the criminal justice system. The NPC is the counterpart of the National Defense College of the Philippines (NDCP), the Joint Command and General Staff College (JCSC) and the Training Command (TRACOM) of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. While its main campus is at Fort Bonifacio, Taguig, Metro Manila, NPC maintains Satellite campuses in Camp Crame, Quezon City and the PPSC Regional Training Schools in the cities of Baguio, Cebu and Davao. Mandate Vision Mission Philosophy Core Values Training Programs Public Safety Officers Senior Executive Course (PSOSEC)
An eight month resident training program intended for senior uniformed officers with a minimum rank of Chief Inspectors in the police, fire and jail bureaus. The course prepares participants for a senior command staff function, management and leadership and higher concept of responsibility to various key positions of either director in the provincial, regional offices, and/or senior support staff offices and directorates in the national headquarters of concerned bureaus.
Public Safety Officers Advance Course (PSOAC)
A four month resident training program intended for middle level uniformed commissioned officers with a minimum rank of Senior Inspectors in the police, fire and jail bureaus. The PSOAC prepares participants for a mid level command staff function and duties, management and leadership and key responsibility as police chief or station commander and to various key positions in the provincial, district or regional offices and/or support staff offices in the national headquarters of concerned bureaus.
Public Safety Officers Basic Course (PSOBC)
A four month resident training program intended for junior level uniformed commissioned officers with the rank of Inspectors in the police, fire and jail bureaus. PSOBC prepares participants for a junior level command staff function and duties, management and leadership and key responsibility as police chief or station commander and to various staff positions in the provincial, district or regional offices, and/or support staff offices in the national headquarters of concerned bureaus.
Public Safety Officers Orientation Course (PSOOC)
A two-month resident training program intended for lateral entry uniformed commissioned officers with the rank of Inspectors and Senior Inspectors in the police bureau. PSOOC equips participants with basic knowledge, values, skills, competencies and introductory officers functions and leadership in public safety, especially in the police service.
Public Safety Officers Inspectors Course (PSIC)
A four-month resident training program intended for uniformed commissioned officers whose promotion to Inspector rank in the police bureau were on the basis of merit and lacks the mandatory Public Safety Officers Candidate Course (PSOCC). The PSIC is specially designed to accommodate this kind of officers and aims to equip with basic knowledge, values, skills, competencies and introductory officers functions and leadership in public safety especially in the police service.
